Virginia announces $99 million in Community Flood Preparedness Fund awards
RICHMOND, Va. — The Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation today announced $99 million in awards from the Virginia Community Flood Preparedness Fund (CFPF), providing critical funding to help Virginia communities better prepare for, respond to and reduce the impacts of flooding.
The CFPF supports localities and regional partners as they assess flood risks, plan for resilient growth and implement projects that protect lives, property and critical infrastructure. It also supports the implementation of the Commonwealth Resilience Planning Principles detailed in Virginia’s Coastal Resilience Master Planning Framework.
The sixth round of the CFPF was announced in October offering grants and loans to support regions and localities to reduce the impacts of flooding in their communities.
DCR received 78 applications with grant requests totaling nearly $129 million.
تتوفر معلومات عن الصندوق وقواعد الأهلية وإجراءات التقديم والتعليمات في دليل المنح الخاص بالصندوق، وهو منشور على الموقع الإلكتروني www.dcr.virginia.gov/cfpf.
