Make the most of the shortest day of the year and ring in the winter season with a series of hikes. Plan to hike one or all to hear more about the upcoming seasonal changes you'll see around the park and traditions of the solstice.

Please dress for the weather. Child carriers are recommended. Well behaved pets on a six foot leash are welcome. All trails are hard-packed gravel/earth. Sunrise 7:21 a.m. to Sunset 4:56 p.m.

Hike #1: 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. Spillway Trail (paved, .2 miles): Self-paced meditative walk with prompts. Starts at CCC Museum
Hike #2: 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Beaver Lake trail (2.5 miles). Meet at Visitor Center
Hike #3: 12 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. Ground Pine and Beaver Lake trail (1 mile). Meet at Visitor Center
Hike #4: 4 p.m. - 5 p.m. Big Poplar Trail  and Beaver Lake trail (1.5 miles). Meet at Visitor Center.
