Join us for a rewarding morning of gardening with fellow plant lovers. The park's pollinator, shade, and fern gardens provide habitat for wildlife and educate park guests on the benefits and beauty of native plants. Volunteer tasks include pulling invasive species such as Oriental Honeysuckle and Garlic Mustard, planting native species, and brainstorming ways to enhance and expand the gardens. Gardeners of all levels are welcome.

Please wear closed-toes shoes and bring work gloves and water. Children ages 12 and older are welcome to attend with a parent or guardian. Email sweetrunvolunteer@dcr.virginia.gov or call 540-668-6230 with any questions. See you in the garden!
