Now in its 9th year, the Virginia State Parks Adventure Series is a collection of exciting races set against the breathtaking backdrop of Virginia’s most scenic state parks.

Participants can choose from trail runs, mountain bike rides and multi-sport adventure challenges and earn prizes along the way.

From seasoned athletes to first-timers, Adventure Series offers an inclusive, low-pressure environment that celebrates fun, fitness and the beauty of nature.

What's new in 2026?

• Bonus races return: four events worth 150 points each
• Monster Cross kicks off the season Feb. 15.
• Broad Run Off Road adds two Summer Sizzle adventure races at Lake Anna.
• Highlands Hop gravel race joins Middle Mountain Momma weekend.
• Five weekends feature back-to-back races for double the adventure
